Château Frontenac in Old Québec City
Since 2023

Québec, Canada

A new province, new teams, and a new way to practise my trade in industrial electrical work and automation.

Château Frontenac in the heart of Old Québec City.
A new chapter

Adapt, learn, and keep working hands-on.

After arriving in Québec in 2023, I continued through training, industry, and a new work environment. This chapter brings together Alma, Saint-Félicien, and Shawinigan.

Arrival

October 2023

Moving to Québec marked a turning point: a new environment, new reference points, and a commitment to keep growing in my trade.

Training

Cégep de Saint-Félicien

A certificate in electro-instrumentation and control strengthened my skills and understanding of Québec industry practices.

Alma

Domtar · November 2023 – July 2024

Worked as an electro-instrumentation technician, performing thermal inspections, instrument calibration, drive interventions, and lockout procedures.

Shawinigan

Arbec · since December 2024

An industrial environment where I continue hands-on electrical and automation work, focused on reliable equipment operation.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment.
  • Work on motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Propose and implement targeted improvements to lines and machines.
  • Work with maintenance and operations teams.
Automation project · Wood dryer

Contributed to migrating the dryer control program from RSLogix 5 to Studio 5000. It dries wood flakes from Pallmann mills before they are made into OSB panels.
