Industrial projects, from field work to commissioning.
I work close to the equipment: understanding the process, coordinating work, programming systems, and supporting tests. Every project is an opportunity to make a line more reliable and easier to operate.

Eight projects. Practical challenges.
From complete installations to focused improvements, these projects show how I work: observe, understand, act, and verify in the field.
01Dakar · OLEOSEN · Oct 2022 – Mar 2023
From installation to line start-up.
OLEOSEN soap plant in Dakar: a 2,500 m² facility, reported investment above MAD 65 million and reported production capacity exceeding 30,000 tonnes per year. On-site assignment: October 2022 – March 2023.
↗Outcome: Installation work was completed 2 months before the scheduled launch, leaving 2 months for start-up testing and adjustments.

Scope and responsibilities
During installation, I coordinated a team of 5 electricians, allocated tasks and tracked progress. I checked and calibrated instruments, programmed supplementary automation systems and collected data from Mazzoni’s PLCs for supervision.
Installation and verification of power and control systems using Siemens and Schneider Electric equipment. Installation, inspection and calibration of field instruments; coordination with Ballestra and Mazzoni on the main line and auxiliary equipment, including pumps, steam valves and effluent management.
Programming of supplementary automation systems and collection of production PLC data for monitoring and digitalization. Involvement in functional testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
Outcome — Installation work was completed 2 months before the scheduled launch, leaving 2 months for start-up testing and adjustments.
↗Outcome: Development and commissioning of the wastewater treatment plant’s automation and SCADA system.

Scope and responsibilities
Technical ownership from requirements assessment and equipment selection to installation coordination, testing and startup. Complete Siemens S7-1500 programming and SCADA development for process control, monitoring and visualization.
The treatment process includes oil separation, pH adjustment using acid or caustic dosing, biological aeration and settling. Instrument checks and control sequence tuning during functional tests.
Published plant context: Lesieur Cristal reported a capacity of 1,500 m³/day in 2019 and a 40% extension of biological treatment capacity. These figures refer to the facility, not to performance gains attributable to this assignment.
Outcome — Development and commissioning of the wastewater treatment plant’s automation and SCADA system.
Complete automation of the preparation lines — 2018.
Full automation of 2 liquid soap preparation lines in 2018 as part of a new personal-care workshop that also included a shampoo packaging line.
↗Outcome: Complete automation of 2 preparation lines as part of the modernization of personal-care operations in 2018.

Scope and responsibilities
Ownership of the automation scope for both preparation lines, from component selection and installation team coordination through commissioning. Completed 100% of the Siemens S7-1500 programming for the preparation lines and developed the SCADA monitoring system.
Integration of an AS-Interface (AS-i) field network to simplify connections, reduce conventional wiring requirements and support maintenance.
Functional testing, sequence validation, tuning and startup of the preparation lines. The shampoo packaging line is presented as part of the wider workshop, not as an automation scope fully programmed in this assignment.
Outcome — Complete automation of 2 preparation lines as part of the modernization of personal-care operations in 2018.
Upgrade of a MECCANOPLASTICA bottle inspection machine that detects leaks and defects before filling.
↗Outcome: Upgraded Siemens LOGO! PLC, sensors and HMI.
